Sebring Sees Strong Housing Growth and New Investment

Sebring continues to shine as one of Florida’s most appealing places to live, with new data showing a sharp rise in both residential and commercial development. In the first half of 2025 alone, the city of Sebring issued more than $85 million in building permits—more than double the same period last year.

A significant portion of that growth is residential. In 2024, the city issued permits for 127 new housing units; by mid-2025, that number had already reached 99. According to Sebring City Administrator Paul Reas, “Sebring is being discovered. People are moving here because of the quality of life, affordability, and opportunities for investment.”

Commercial development is also on the rise. Several projects—including an expansion of the Alan Jay Automotive network and new retail construction on U.S. 27—reflect growing confidence in the region’s economy. A 22,000-square-foot clinic for Heartland Orthopedics is underway, and Sebring’s first Starbucks is now open on the north end of town.

City leaders say this is only the beginning. With a comprehensive land development plan in place and infrastructure investments continuing across the region, Sebring is positioning itself as a hub for smart, sustainable growth.

Whether you’re relocating, expanding your business, or just looking for a better quality of life, Sebring offers a vibrant, forward-looking community at the heart of Central Florida.
