Free Aviation Lesson Plans Now Available for Classrooms

STEM Flights, a national nonprofit dedicated to inspiring the next generation of aviators, has released free aviation lesson plans for teachers and students. These ready-to-use classroom resources are designed for grades 5–12 and connect aviation with real-world applications in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

The lesson plans cover topics like:

  • Forces of Flight

  • Airspace and Weather

  • Navigation and Charts

  • Aviation Careers

Each module includes student activities, teacher guides, and hands-on projects that make aviation concepts accessible to every classroom—whether or not students have direct access to airplanes or airports.
