Leadership Highlands Gets a Firsthand Look at Sebring Regional Airport

In 2025, Sebring Regional Airport Deputy Director Andrew Bennett graduated from Leadership Highlands. On November 5, he welcomed this year’s class to the airport and took them out onto the aircraft apron for a firsthand look at airport operations.

The visit was part of the program’s annual Sebring Airport Authority & Economic Development Day, which introduces emerging community leaders to the airport and its role in the regional economy. The airport hosted the class for lunch at the EAA Building, where participants heard from Bennett and aviation industry leader Phil Lockwood.

Bennett explained what the group was seeing as he guided them around the apron. Executive Director Mike Willingham noted that participants were especially interested in the International Aerobatic Club competition taking place at the airport that weekend.
